About Catherine

As the oldest of 11 children, I got started early in the field of early care and education. I have been employed in this field for the past 36 years. I have a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in education. I enjoy helping bring out each child's gifts and talents, and seeing the world through their eyes. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Kentucky, and a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Georgia. I have held positions as a nanny; a teacher, a play therapist, and an administrator in exceptionally high quality early care and education programs. Additionally, I have owned my own school, served as an elementary school counselor, and directed Parents as Teachers, an in-home parent education/child development program for parents of children birth through age three years. I have also written curriculum and provided training and support for two national childcare franchising companies, including designing a curriculum
