About Catherine

My range of experience includes SAT/ACT test prep, English/Language Arts, Biological Sciences (e. g. Anatomy, Zoology, Human Physiology), and ESL instruction at the college level. I have tutored children as young as 7 as well as octogenarian adult learners. I recognize that there isn't a one size fits all approach to teaching OR learning and that student's abilities, needs, and the pace at which they may gain/retain knowledge will vary. I endeavor to cultivate and nurture each pupil's innate confidence in addition to offering instruction tailored to individual needs (I operate under the conviction that believing in one's own proficiency and competence is the first hurdle to mastering any subject matter). I appreciate thorough communication, particularly with regard to realistic goal setting and monitoring progress.
