For the last 3 years, I have been employed with Wesley Family Services, helping clients living with intellectual and developmental disabilities adapt to different environments and situations. I provided physical, mental and emotional support to meet the individual needs of each and every person. When caring for those who have special needs, I always remind myself that I have the ability to have a profound impact on that persons life; providing care and supporting those who need it most is so humbling. By being able to help each person become more independent and confident in their own abilities, it makes me feel good knowing that they are finding their own way in the world with the love and support that is necessary behind them. There are endless opportunities to make a difference in just one persons life.
