About Cassia

I was working at the Northwest Arctic School Borough District as an Intensive Aide and Interpreter. My education and previous work experience has prepared me to successfully perform care taking duties. I majored in Nutritional Science and minored in American Sign Language and Mandarin Chinese. My experience has given me the knowledge and experience in providing care to children of different needs. In addition to my education I have work experience within school districts where I have aided and taught children of disabilities of all kinds. I have the skills that help me teach children curriculum. I can work individually with students, incorporate behavior plans, and facilitate communication by using either American Sign Language or PECS. While in China, I even had the opportunity to work alongside physical therapists/ mothers that taught me how to work with handicap children motor skills, range of motion exercises, and basic childcare.
