About Carter

Thank you for viewing my profile! My name is Carter, I am 28 years old and enjoy meeting students of all ages where they are in their journey with learning. I have several years of experience working with students ages pre-K- age 18 stay on task, organize their materials, grasp concepts proficiently and help scholars feel empowered and confident! I believe all scholars can succeed and value a relaxed and fun approach. I love to incorporate games and themes students enjoy. I have experience working with students who find academics very frustrating and upsetting. I believe in validating feelings and am very compassionate and patient. I am finishing up a second degree at Greensboro College to receive my special education adapted education curriculum teaching license. I also currently work full time for Guilford county schools at a separate setting school and am very familiar with the stressful impact virtual learning can have on students and families. I'd love to help!
