About Carrie

I am mom of a wonderful 7-year-old little girl. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and elementary education, which included an internship with an elementary school guidance counselor. Within my degree, I completed courses on teaching reading, math, science, social studies, and educational psychology. Upon graduating from college, I worked at a child care center, teaching in the 4-year-old and 2-year-old classes. I have babysat young children since I was a teenager, and most recently babysat for a 2-year-old child with special needs. I love children and know that it is very hard to find someone that you can trust with your most prized possessions. I worked full-time when my daughter was born, so I know how difficult it is. I guarantee that your children will be loved as if they were my own. They will be safe, have fun, and will learn something new every day. I am in the process of researching preschool curriculum that I would use with your children, if appropriate. Each day, we would follow a general schedule. It has been my experience that children work very well within an established schedule. It helps them know what to expect. Of course, there is always room for flexibility.
