Hello! My name is Carolyn, and I am a recent graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, GA who just moved to New York City to pursue a theater career. I have been babysitting for 9 years for children aged 4 months to 12 years. I spent the past 2. 5 years caring for 2 wonderful girls in Atlanta during college (ages 4 months and 3 years through ages 2. 5 and 6). I was a live-in nanny for the family during the height of COVID-19 before transitioning into part-time and overnight care. I am also a Musical Theater Teaching Artist and have worked as a full time educator for grades 3-8 for the past two summers. I love incorporating the performing arts into my private childcare. I also play piano and ukulele and love teaching these instruments to kids! Previously, I worked at an overnight summer camp caring for and living with children aged 7-14 for 24 hours a day. I've also worked in after-school care at a private school. I adore kids and am eager to begin working in childcare in New York!

Carolyn has been with our family for a month now, as caregiver for our 2yo daughter. I interviewed many sitters and met with several and Carolyn displayed the presence, patience and experience that we were looking for. She has brought creativity and enthusiasm to her work, while also quickly adopting our family's style and approach. She asks insightful questions that help refine her work, she is a great communicator and a lovely person. Most importantly, our daughter took to her right away and they have developed a sweet bond. I've already put her in touch with my entire mom group with the highest recommendation! We're so grateful we found her.
