About Carolyn

Hello! My name is Carolyn and I am an engaging, energetic, and conscientious 27-year-old seeking occasional or part-time employment as a babysitter or tutor. I have been working as a pediatric speech-language pathologist for the past four years after receiving my M. A. from GWU. My experience as a SLP and, as a babysitter/nanny since the age of 15, has made me exceptionally well-prepared to provide quality care to children of all ages, especially those with special needs. My primary goal when working with families is of course to keep your child safe, but to also provide them with a variety of enriching activities outside of digital forms, including arts and crafts, baking, reading, playing outside, and pretend play. Related to tutoring services, I have provided private literacy tutoring for over 2 years and am trained in Orton-Gillingham methodology.
