I am a very healthy, cheerful, and mature English-speaking woman. I am a certified CNA and trained and certified in CPR and medication management. I have worked as a para-educator with the Lk, Wa. School District working with developmentally disabled kids, and children with Down Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy. I have 10+ years of experience caring for people with a variety of cognitive and mobility issues, helping with activities of daily living, dispensing medication, and providing companionship and transportation. I also have experience with 24-hour post-surgery care and recovery and can provide dependable transportation to and from procedures and to post-surgery appts as needed. I love and am very comfortable with animals of all kinds. I am caring, and compassionate and would prefer that my relationship with the person for whom I care be not just that of a caregiver, but a friend. I would love to talk with you if you think that this sounds like a good fit to help with your loved one.

I can't say enough good things about Carol and the care and friendship she gave to my mother. Carol started with my mother when she was showing early to mid-stage signs of dementia. She spent two afternoons a week with her for companionship and to give me some time away. Carol is incredibly patient, kind, efficient and dependable. What I didn't expect from hiring Carol was the genuine ownership she showed in the care of my mother and the mentorship she provided me with observations of my mom's progression and how to care for her. Carol deeply cares - this isn't just a job for her. On her days off she wanted to know how my mom was doing and what she can prepare for and help with when she was with her. Carol not only became close friends with my mother, but she was my rock and friend to lean on at a time when I needed it the most. Carol became family to us and I will be forever grateful to her.
