About Carmen

Hello my name is Carmen I am bilingual Spanish/English. I come from a long history of working with children. My mom had a home daycare when I was growing up and I have many lovely memories. I come from a big family where I have looked after cousins, nephews & nieces. Also I have been a Nanny for 8 years. I have a certificate in Medical Assisting & 9 units in Child Development from Merritt College, & CPR certified. I love doing fun rich in learning activities appropriate for the child's age and development, especially planning outdoor play such as parks, libraries, trips to the zoo. I worked for almost 2 years at a Montessori preschool in Oakland as a Teachers Assistant with a class of 12. I have experience with potty training and can teach your child Spanish. If I can have the patience of watching over multiple children of all ages at a time and provide what they each need I know I can have the patience and nurture for your child. Hope to be a good fit!
