About Carmen

I'd describe my personality as bubbly and curious. I enjoy the work that I do, which results in me getting a bit silly about it! I started working with kids as a freshman in high school, babysitting on weekends and helping out with KinderBallet classes at my dance studio. I like working with kids because it provides a much needed whimsy to my professional life. I've always loved kids, but the work revealed an unexpected benefit: an easy way to build neuroplasticity. The babies keep me curious, and I'm grateful for that. In my spare time, I read, make art, and spend time with my family. My top skills include sensory play, collaborative discipline and co-regulation. One thing you should know about me is that I am thorough. I always ask for details, and I often set expectations to ensure a baseline of what can be expected of my services. I'm looking for a job that will build upon my skills as a caregiver, while also providing a flexible schedule to keep up with my studies.
