About Carmen

I've always been a life long lover of learning and teaching in a way that meets students where they are - whether it be culturally, based on their aptitude or their learning style. As a behavioral scientist, my day job is understanding individuals' behaviors and their motivations and values. Tutoring isn't much different. A story I enjoy telling is my passion for math and science as a child and how that really was best complicated by my innate attraction to creative outlets such as drawing, painting and poetry. The balance between the two worlds helped me navigate many scenarios in life. I'd love to be a place where your student further explores and/or develops their love for learning.
