About Carly

I'd describe my personality as outgoing, trustworthy, and patient. I like working with kids because I love watching them explore the world, form social/emotional skills, and grow up. I love being a part of the process as children explore the world and watching the different stages as they get older. I love finding and making age appropriate activities. Plus, kids are so cute. I started working with kids when I was 13, starting out babysitting and working with 2-6-year-olds in a child care room. In high school, I nannied for and helped potty train a 3 yr. old for 1 year. Most recently, I was a nanny for a 3 mo. old boy until they found childcare! In my spare time, I like to spend time with my dog, enjoy the fresh air outside, collect house plants, thrift shop with my roommates, and go to target. My child care skills include being vigilant to my surroundings, teaching important skills through play, and being flexible with each child's unique routine so they feel most comfortable.
