About Carly

Hello my name is Carly! I am a certified teacher K-12 in all things music including, but not limited to voice, instrumental, theory, and history. I have been a full-time teacher for 3 years and am currently on hiatus as I get my Master's Degree in Musical Theatre Performance at NYU. I come from an entire family of teachers. My mom, sister, and grandparents all follow the teaching legacy, and I am no different! Though I teach music, while teaching full-time, I was in charge of ISS (in school suspension). In this setting, I would help students create homework plans to get back on track in addition to turoring in math, English, and history. I would also take the time to help kids draft resumes and prepare for college interviews and auditions. I would describe myself as bubbly, patient, and a hard-worker! I use detailed planning, patience, and goal-setting to teach my students. I like to use my free time to bake, take care of my cat, Bongo, and paint! Please reach out with any questions!
