I am caring, nurturing, honest, open-minded and fun. These qualities guide me in my work with children. I am originally from the Caribbean, and I've always wanted to be of help to children, especially those with special needs, since I was a young girl myself. I am the mother an adult daughter and two teenage boys. Being a parent has undoubtedly shaped the way I approach my work with kids today. For the last four years, I've been working with children with special needs, and this has been a rewarding experience. Every child has their own way of communicating, and I strive to understand them and get to know each child so that I can connect with them in a meaningful way. At the end of the day, I'm here to ensure that the kids in my care feel safe, supported, and cherished, even if it is for one hour or entire day.
