About Carla

Hello! My name is Carla and I am 24 years old. I recently relocated back to the DMV area and am looking to continue child care. I studied psychology in school and did pediatric social work right after. During my social working job, I nannied for a family of 4 on weeknights and weekends. I realized that I loved working with children and wanted to be more hands on during my day to day, I went on to becoming a support teacher in a Montessori private school. I have experience in craft planning, spanish tutoring, lesson planning, schedule management, and traveling with children. I am an advocate for human rights and am strongly pro-DEI education. Child development is an extremely rewarding career and I am hoping to continue my education based on it. I look forward to connecting! I'm looking for a job that provides communication, adaptability, and clear expectations. My skills include flexibility, empathy, and determination.
