About Cara

I have been babysitting for a variety of families since I was 13. All my cousins are younger so I have spent a fair amount of time caring for them, as well as for the children of various other family friends and connections. I also have extensive experience coaching volleyball to younger aged children. I have worked cumulatively for three years for a Volleyball Club, coached for two summers at a Volleyball Summer Camp, and coached in Hawaii for a club.. I have also volunteered at sea center, museum, medical clinic and cancer center, all of which involved working with children. I spent a summer working as the captain's assistant on a tugboat that gives tours of the Santa Barbara Harbor. My duties included being a docent and caretaker for those on board and the crowd was largely composed of eager children under the age of 10. I currently babysit for children of friends and family on an average of two times a week.
