About Cara

Hi! My name is Cara. I've been pet sitting since I was 12. Those experiences mainly consisted of me coming to people's homes, walking, feeding, playing with, even just sitting with the dog or cat. I remember one dog specifically, Max, only enjoyed me as his caregiver, so this family contacted me multiple times a year when they went on vacation. I also watered their plants, checked the mail, and did some light chores. I have volunteered at a dog shelter back in OH, where I am from. I had to take an eight-hour course on animal abuse prevention, how to treat dogs with care yet authority, and how to have fun with them! I experienced my mom raise several of her dogs from puppies and attended pet training courses for two of them. I grew up with my mom fostering dogs, so I am aware of the different temperaments and how to be sensitive to that. Reach out and let's see if we're a good fit!
