About Cara

I recently made the deeply personal decision to transition away from a rewarding 16-year career in social work. While I am incredibly grateful for the years I spent growing within my organization, I realized that my professional fulfillment was shifting. As I searched my heart for my true next chapter, it continuously landed on my greatest lifelong passion: caring for animals. My bond with animals runs deep. I grew up on a small family farm, where I learned the daily responsibility of caring for a plethora of creatures--including cows, a horse, pigs, chickens, dogs, cats, hamsters, canaries, and even a rescued raccoon! Today, my busy, animal-loving home includes my husband, our two sons (ages 8 and 10), three dogs, two cats, and a bearded dragon. Animals are my joy, and my background in social work naturally translates into my pet care philosophy: I am patient, observant, highly communicative, and fully present with every animal in my care.
