We were so lucky to have Candy as our son's nanny for five months, from about seven months old to his first birthday, and I could go on and on about how wonderful she was. From day one, you could just tell she adored him. Not in a "this is my job" way, but in a "this kid means something to me" way. He absolutely lit up whenever she walked in, and that connection made everything easier for everyone. She was also just really good at the hard stuff. Our son was never an easy napper, but somehow Candy could get him down without any fuss. She introduced him to so many new foods he'd never tried, got him into a great daily rhythm, and made time for park trips and bath time like it was the best part of her day (which, honestly, I think it was for her). She always left things clean and tidy too, which we appreciated more than she probably knows. On top of all that, she was just easy and fun to have around: flexible, communicative, warm, and clearly someone who loves what she does. We felt so at ease leaving our son with her, and we're genuinely going to miss having her around. Any family would be lucky to have her.
