About Camila

Hello! I'm a certified teacher currently working in a 5th grade bilingual classroom. I was born and raised in Colombia and am fluent in both English and Spanish, with strong skills in speaking, reading, and writing in both languages. I bring a diverse background in education, with experience as a tutor and teacher assistant for students from Kindergarten through 8th grade. My work has taken place in a variety of settings, including non-profit organizations, family homes, summer camps, and after-school programs. I've been teaching 5th grade Math and Science for the past 8 years. In addition to my teaching career, I have extensive childcare experience with children from toddlers to early teens. As the oldest of three siblings, I've naturally gained experience with younger children as well. I recently obtained a masters degree from TCU, and offer academic tutoring (with a strong focus on Math), STAAR prep, Spanish tutoring, and childcare services on Saturdays and during the summer.
