About Camila

Hello! I am a certified teacher working in a 5th grade bilingual classroom. I was born and raised in Colombia, and can speak, read, and write fluently in both English and Spanish. I have had experience as a tutor and teacher assistant for children in various grade levels ranging from K-8th grade in different settings: non-profit organizations, family homes, summer camps, after school programs, and elementary schools. I've worked for FWISD for 13 years as a bilingual tester, teacher assistant, and elementary school teacher. I have experience babysitting young children to early teenage years, but I'm also the oldest of 3, therefore have experience with toddlers as well. I have been a 5th grade Math and Science teacher for 7 consecutive years, and have experience teaching 4th graders and Kindergarteners as well. I can provide academic tutoring (comfortable with Math and Science), STAAR prep tutoring, Spanish tutoring, and childcare services on Saturdays and during the summer.
