About Callie

Passionate educator + energetic environmental scientist + strong knowledge of what children need to thrive! Hi! I am a recent college graduate who just moved to Lincoln Park in Chicago! I am a classroom teacher during the year, and I'm looking forward to my first summer after a busy first year as an educator. The last 5 years I have consistently spent 20 plus hours a week, and now 40 plus hours, working with elementary aged students. Whether at an after school program, volunteering at local youth shelters, or spending the day with my own students in my classroom, I take a love and curiosity based approach to working with children. I am positive, kind, and empathetic. I allow children to be children! I have experience, both in person and through curriculum based college courses, in a wide variety of situations that may arise when one works with children. I'd love to spend part of my time this summer as a nanny for your family!
