About Callan

Hi! Excited new tutor, here. My experience: In high school, I tutored 2 middle school students in their gen. ed., which included Spanish. This past year at Wesleyan University, I helped my professor Brian Stewart develop Radical Sustainability, an interdisciplinary intro Physics course focusing on the intersection of critical quantitative problem solving and social and environmental activism. I then taught as Course Assistant the following semester, & held weekly office hours to help the students work through the problem sets. Many of our students struggled with problem solving; I helped them develop their critical tool sets and understand the world's pressing social-environmental dilemmas with more clarity, with the goal of becoming empowered activists in society. I'm passionate about sharing a Physics and Math understanding with anyone who wants to learn, especially the kids growing up in this crazy world that needs them! I am great with kids, and I'm a very good listener :)
