When I was in high school, I used to sit with a woman who had limitations getting around. I helped her with odds and ends around her house including meal preparation. Several years later, I helped my grandparents with household chores, shopping, and cooking. My grandpa suffered from dementia, so a lot of our time was spent having conversations over and over again. About four years ago, I sat with a lady who was living in a nursing home. Her family wanted someone to be the eyes and ears over there when they couldn't be there. I would take her for walks around the property in her wheelchair and we would just visit while I was there.
