About Brooke

I am an educator and academic tutor who believes meaningful learning begins with understanding the individual child. I am currently completing my master's degree in special education at Teachers College, Columbia University and earned my bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley, where I double majored in European and Russian societies and cultures and Slavic literature. I have worked with children for 20 years and have 6 years of academic tutoring experience with students ages 4-14. My tutoring experience includes early literacy and phonics, kindergarten readiness and admissions preparation, ELA, research and essay writing, and study skills. I also have experience supporting children with ADHD, ASD-related needs, physical and motor challenges, and emotional dysregulation, including helping children develop coping and self-regulation strategies.
