About Brooke

I'd describe my personality as energetic, empathetic, and fun-loving! I love working with kids because they have infinite amounts of knowledge, insight, love and FUN all wrapped up those tiny little forms. :) I started working with kids when I was 17 as a babysitter, and then at 18 years old as a nanny and preschool teacher. 9 years later I'm doing the same thing! In my spare time, I like to read and write. I'm currently working on my first novel for middle grade readers! I also love hiking, biking, and exploring nature, either with friends and family or with podcasts in my earbuds! My skills include creativity, time management, and aiding in emotional regulation. I am able to turn a boring night into a voyage across the sea, all while promptly getting the kids in bed by 8:30 (or preferred time), and implementing deep breathing sessions when emotions get to be too much.
