I've been teaching Kindergarten for the past 7 years. I'm NYS certified in Early Childhood, Special Education and English as a Second Language. I received my Master Degree in Education from Canisius College. I believe in a hands on approach and finding the learning style that best suits the student, in order to do so it's important to collect data and constantly research new approaches. I have experience tutoring students from K-6 in reading and have on average 1. 5 year reading growth for students. I would love to talk more to discuss your child's learning needs and help create an action plan. I am available most weeknights starting around 4:30 and on weekends during the school year. It's with much pleasure that I'm able to recommend Ms. Brittnay as a tutor. She taught my daughter four times a week for several months and she was a joy to work with. Ms. Brittnay consistently arrived at my home on time, ready to engage with my daughter with a smile. Because of Ms. Brittnay my daughter is now reading, writing and doing basic math at three years old. I honestly can't thank Ms. Brittnay enough for all she has done to advance my daughters academic progress. Overall she is an excellent tutor, role model and I highly recommend her to any family in need of a tutor.
