About Brittany

I am a recent graduate of Saint Joseph's University. I graduated magna cum laude with a B. S. in Biology and a minor in Business Administration in May 2010. Throughout college I worked as a Supplemental Instructor (similar to a TA), holding two one hour review sessions/week for students in General Chemistry. I also volunteered with Breakthrough of Greater Philadelphia teaching gifted inner city seventh and eighth grade students Algebra for one hour every Wednesday in this accelerated after school program. I am currently a volunteer for the American Red Cross. In the future I have plans on attending Dental School. I have cared for children since I was 14. Childrens ages ranged from infants to adolescents, eighth grade, specifically. Activities would be age appropriate and depend on the child's/childrens interests. I love completing arts and crafts projects, baking cookies and cupcakes, cooking, playing outside, reading stories, watching movies, playing board games, and playing computer games and video games. I am very adaptable, and love to learn and teach new things. I love helping with homework and believe it is best if completed right when the student comes home when the material is still fresh in their mind. Very often I would make breakfast, lunch, or dinner for the children I was watching. I don't mind doing some light housework either. I am a licensed and insured driver with access to a car. I love driving and would have no issues making trips to after school activities or play dates. Have pets? I love all animals! I have no issues with walking dogs or feeding fish. I currently live in Langhorne, Bucks County, PA, but I have no problem traveling to Philadelphia or the suburbs. No task is too big or small! I am extremely adaptable, mature, loving, caring, punctual, responsible, and reliable. I am excited and ready to meet you and your family!
