I have known Britta since she was 8 years old as a family friend and also in my role as the Youth Coordinator and Director of Youth Leadership & Service-Learning. As a high school student Britta was a member of the Peer Leadership group. The Peer Leaders serve as mentors to younger students and role models for their peers, they organize and implement service projects for the community and provide opportunities for other teens to make good decisions. I have watched as Britta has developed into a confident and mature young woman who is thoughtful, kind, and responsible. I would be comfortable both putting Britta in charge of an event and caring for my own young children, ages 4 years old and 6 years old.
