I started caring for seniors when I was 22 years old after getting my CNA License. I have since worked in nursing Homes , Assisted livings and in private homes of residents. I like working 1 on 1 in a private home setting because I can give more attention to that person My most recent client who I worked with for 6 years was a 80-year-old woman who suffered a stroke and was Paralyzed on her right side. Unfortunately, due to financial reasons, she had to move into a nursing home. So I'm now looking for a new client. I have experience with different types of Hoyer lifts, including stand up, the cradle type and also the type that is attatched to the wall/ceiling. In most of my jobs, I was responsible for medication distribution. Blood sugar testing and giving insulin. Also experienced with clients with ALS and on hospice care.
