I spent the last year working as in home childcare and school support for a family with two boys ages 7 and 10. In that role I helped the kids sign on the zoom classes, kept track of their assignments and assisted them with their school work as well as made lunch for them and providing them with activities to do during screen breaks and after school. I have spent the last three summers working at a Tripp Lake Camp (a sleep-away summer camp in Maine). At camp, I was a bunk counselor for girls 9-10 and for girls 14-15. I was the primary adult responsible for 5 girls when they were not in daily activities. I also taught analog photography to girls ages 11-17. This required me to become skilled at supervising groups of children while also keeping them productive and guiding them through a new experience. . I find working with children to be incredibly rewarding work.

Bridie worked with our family through the pandemic to support my two boys through remote learning. She is an INCREDIBLE caregiver, educator and positive influence in my boys' lives. Not only was she truly an educator supporting them in their 2nd and 4th grade curriculum, but she was really a calming, patience and thoughtful role model in their life during what was a pretty extreme time (global pandemic). In the midst of all the insanity this year one of my children was diagnosed with ADHD and anxiety, and the support Bridie provided him academically and emotionally was truly above and beyond!! Our family truly could not have made it through this year without her and thanks to her my boys both had successful years, both academically as well as socially and emotionally. Bridie is a truly wonderful caregiver and person, and we are so grateful she was here to support our family and take care of our boys this year.
