About Bridget

I'm a second year student at Cal Poly, majoring in RPTA. I'm a responsible student and love to work with kids. This summer will be my 5th summer as an ocean lifeguard . It's a demanding job but it is very rewarding. The past two summers, I was promoted to Junior Lifeguard Instructor. As an instructor, I get to work with the kids and teach them about ocean safety and discipline, all while planning and creating a fun summer for them at the beach. In this role, I worked 10 hour days, five days a week. A critical part of my job is understanding the different personalities of kids and being able to tailor my instruction so that all kids feel included and have a positive experience. I have also babysat in the past, starting from as early as 12 years old and the ages have ranged from newborn to middle school. I'm looking for a job to make some extra money so I can help pay for some of my tuition and housing.
