About Briaunna

I am a 2nd-year transfer studying Psycholobiology to become a cardiothoracic surgeon and therapist for queer adolescence. I previously worked as an 8th-grader tutor in Math and science and also as a 5th-grade tutor in Math and English to quadruplets, one of which has autism. I now work as a behavioral technician. Outside of academic settings, I have worked as a Resident Assistant for several summer programs including Johns Hopkins Centered for Talented Youth (CTY), Berkeley Business Academy for Youth (BBAY), and others. I love working with children and providing them a space to simply try new things and feel supported. On a more personal note, I am a queer-identifying Black woman. I grew up in a single-parent household here in Los Angeles. I have been in several academic settings from a private, catholic high school to a continuation school to UC Berkeley before transferring to UCLA.
