About Brianna

In my early twenties I cared for my grandmother. She suffered from an extreme case of Alzheimer's, was also a type 2 diabetic, and eventually had both legs amputated. Then my Mother had a stroke. I helped care for her by working with occupational therapy and her medical team in general. I was in charge of all of her occupational and physical therapy at home. Retraining her brain to eat, write, walk, etc. In my 30's I took a full-time job with an in-home care company. I was able to increase my knowledge of caregiving tenfold. I worked with them for almost 2 years, until my own father needed my care. Like his mother, he is a type 2 diabetic that has had both legs amputated. Over the years I have closely worked with wound care, occupational and physical therapists, as well as other areas of medical care. I have also worked in mental health field for a few years.
