About Briana

Hello! My name is Briana and I have lived in Santa Barbara since graduating from UCSB with my Bachelor's in Child Psychology, Master's in Education, and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. My 5-year-old son and I enjoy visiting the zoo, natural history museums, local parks & beaches. I am a lifelong learner and am currently enjoying a SBCC Spanish Class and local pottery class during my summer vacation. I have taught for the Goleta Union School district for 8 years in both 2nd and 3rd grade. My skills include curriculum development in language arts and math, assessment of student achievement, and intervention and extension support. I am also passionate about helping families understand state standards, advocate for themselves and their children and providing them with tips and tricks for helping their children develop a love of reading. I am currently taking a one year leave of absence from my teaching position to be more present for my son as he begins Kindergarten in the Fall.
