About Brenda

I have been babysitting ever since I was 12 years old and still continue to do it to this day, as I am now 27. I worked at a preschool called the Sonshine Center for 5 years throughout high school and college as a group leader. I have completed all of the early childhood development classes that are required, and I have been certified in CPR and medications classes. I worked in the 2 and 3-year-old room for 4 years and then in the 3 and 4-year-old room for 1 year, and I have been a substitute in just about ever other room at the daycare. I am currently going to school to get my degree in Early Childhood Education as I am working towards becoming an elementary teacher in the near future. I also was a nanny for 1 year for twin boys that were 5 years old (one of them has autism) and loved every minute of it! I have also taught Sunday school to ages 4 to 7, as well as assisted with Vacation Bible Schools and as a counselor at summer camps. I am currently working at KinderCare in the infant room as an infant/toddler supervisor and I have been doing that for about 3 years now and I can say I do enjoy my job. I am also a full time mom to my 4-year-old little boy, who keeps me busy! To sum it all up, I love children and always enjoy being around them, they are one of life's greatest joys.
