About Brena

I earned an A. A. S degree in Early Childhood Education in the Spring of 2026. I have over 7 years of professional childcare experience and have cared for children ranging from infants to school-age. My experience began during my senior year of high school when I started my first childcare job at Goose and Gander's Daycare. Since then, I've had the opportunity to work in several different childcare settings and gain experience with a wide variety of ages and needs. I currently work at the YMCA in Bellevue, TN where I provide care for children from approximately 6 weeks through 12 years old. I previously worked at the YMCA's Green Hills location for about a year before the pandemic. I also have experience providing care in a private home for a 7-month-old infant, as well as working as a floater at The Gardner School of Midtown in Nashville, where I supported different classrooms and age groups as needed.
