About Bonnie

I worked as a Social Worker in the foster care system and retired as soon as my pension came through at age 60. I'm physically fit, and emotionally stable. I like caring for seniors because they have made it through this thing called life. I find them interesting. I'm looking for a job where I can be helpful to someone who needs a little extra care but also wants to be as independent as possible. I cared for my mom when she suffered from Alzheimer's. I read all the literature and became a very confident caregiver. I have volunteered for other seniors I've met through church. In my spare time, I like to walk/hike with my dog. She is an elder too. I also create mosaic tables, garden, and read. One thing you should know about me is I have been married to a woman for over 34 years and we have a 28-year-old daughter. My skills include deep listening, speaking clearly with good tone, and managing the stress of dementia. I stay calm when others may get irritated.
