Hello, My name is Bonni, aka Grandma Shenanigan's. I am a 50yr old wife, mother and grandmother. For the past 30 years I have been caring for infants, children, adults, and elderly in some capacity. I have done full time childcare as well as back up, emergency, out of town and sick care. I have worked with both children and adults with special needs, currently I am legal guardian for my 32 yr old Nephew that lives with us. My most recent caregiver roll was taking care of my 91-year-old mother in my home. With her event passing and winter approaching, I find myself with some extra time on my hands. I offer a unique, empathetic, humorous, think outside the box approach to caregiving. I'm not your traditional day to day 9-5 gal. Bonni has been watching my three kids (6.5, 4.5, and 18 months) on occasional basis for over four years. "Occasional basis" means during winter and summer breaks, and when I need to travel out of town for a few days. She is outgoing and funny, and to her daycare kids she can be both easy-going and strict, depending on if the kids are well- or ill-behaved, of course. My kids love her. When my kids are at her home I communicate with her by messages throughout the day and it makes me feel connected to see those hilarious pictures (typically, my kids making crafts or having lunch). Sometimes she takes the kids out to the nearby museum (and she is very strict about using car seats). Occasionally my kids have a sleep-over at her house so I can have a "date night," and very often the kids will ask "When can we have a sleepover again?" That's how I know they are having a great time (I know there are definitely home-made waffles involved). I will continue hiring her for the years to come!
