About Birka

I'd describe my personality as patient, caring, and adaptable. I like working with kids because I enjoy their little personalities, curiosity, helping them explore their world, helping them grow, introducing new things, like cooking and baking, and watching them growing into their own. I'm looking for a job that is consistent, offers the hours I can work, a friendly work environment, good communication, honesty, and financial security. I started working with kids in 1995. I have worked with kids of all age groups, newborn to 12 years and kids on the autism spectrum. I am a mom of two. I have been working as a substitute teacher, elementary and high school, for the last 5 years. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my girls, read, bake, cook, travel, and spend time with my friends. One thing you should know about me is was born and raised in Germany. My skills include patience and emotional regulation, time management, and adaptability in changing situations.
