About Beth

[In Southwest Michigan] I have 10+ years of experience working with Algebra1 + 2 learning experiences in a small class size, urban public, online and tutoring. I challenged academically talented math students by teaching the fundamental language of maths, science, probability and stats. I've used the Socratic method as often as possible so students are enabled to take the lead in learning and teamwork. I can teach how to think logically and quickly for exams and how to use graphing calculators as tools. I challenge students to discuss and debate processes to further develop understanding and experience with the language and tools of higher math and applications. [In Central Florida] I have enjoyed online tutoring of students in Florida and New York. It can be done well via computer as in-person. We can discuss free online options. I am in the Kalamazoo area the first two months of the fall semester and the final month, in May-June.
