Hello, My name is Bertha, I am looking for a position assisting the elderly in their everyday lives. I am 28 years old and enjoy helping people in any way I can. In high school I took a medical careers course that prepared us to take a the Certified Nursing Assistant exam by the Maryland Board of Nursing. I did not take the exam as I was only 16 and in the future I actually decided to pursue Biology and become a high school teacher. The year long program took place at school and at a local nursing home. I was trained in the following: Turning or moving patients Bathing patients Grooming patients by brushing their hair, teeth, shaving them, etc. Feeding patients and documenting their food and liquid intake Checking vital signs such as blood pressure and heart rate Documenting information Cleaning rooms and bed linens Transporting patients I would love to hear from you and talk about your specific needs.
