Hi my name is Bernie and have loved working with children ever since I was 12. Children are my passion and being a nanny is very rewarding. I feel I am patient and sensitive to others needs. I believe it is important to start reading to children at an early age to help them prepare for Kindergarten. I encourage craft projects, story time and flash cards to help recognize letters, numbers and shapes. Engaging in out of the house activities is important by keeping them active at places like the library, park and zoo. I like to create a daily routine that is fun and educational for children of all ages.

Bernie was the perfect person to help with my 96 year old mother. She was gentle, supportive and caring with all of mom’s needs. Whenever there was a sudden change in plans, Bernie was able to shift and fill-in as needed. Because I was not nearby, Bernie was as helpful to me as she was to mom. She kept me updated on mom and checked in with me when there was a question. She really got to know mom and what she liked and didn’t like and they became good friends in the process. I absolutely recommend her for anyone needing that extra support for an elderly parent.
