I have experience teaching in Honduras, Chicago, and Des Moines (K-12; 1-on-1; class). My areas of expertise are Spanish, Music (Mandolin/Guitar) and Philosophy/Theology (Bachelor's), but am comfortable tutoring in English (language learners/reading/writing), and History/Social Studies. Learning is my passion and constantly seek creative ways to help others begin understanding complex topics. For both Music and Spanish I employ an interactive model that makes use of various media to facilitate growth in a way that is fun yet does not neglect the fundamentals.

I am the director at the Child Development Center and Ben started working for us in January 2009. He quickly became a favorite not only with the children and parents but with our staff. Ben is patient, reliable, friendly, trustworthy, compassionate, and knows how to correctly handle conflict. Ben is experienced in working with children with disabilities or behavioral issues.
