From a young age, I've been passionate about nurturing children's development. For the past nine years, I've worked with kids of all ages, from infants to teenagers. My journey began teaching dance at 13, where I discovered the joy of fostering growth through creativity. I currently teach dance to children ages 3-18. I also have experience in a daycare setting and as a non-clinical therapeutic support at a local homeless shelter for children aged 0-21. I am patient, calm, creative, and friendly. I'm comfortable caring for up to three children and enforcing household rules. I enjoy playing outdoor games, board games, puzzles, and educational games. I always communicate with parents using their preferred method. I have a car, am comfortable with pets, and hold certifications in CPR and First Aid. Bekah worked with us for five months, caring for our child for 30 hours each week. Our 14 month old was happy with her and she was patient and gentle with him. Due to unfortunate circumstances beyond anyone’s control, she had to miss a lot of work. This was not the issue. The problem was that she didn’t communicate with us, despite us proactively reaching out, and would only text us an hour (or less) before she was supposed to arrive. There were multiple days in a row of this. She gave us no time to find alternate care, and each absence meant one of us was unable to work. Beyond the lack of reliability (which was the hardest part to deal with), there was a lack of interest in communicating about what we wanted her to provide for or encourage in our son, how he was developing, or focus on him as a growing human. She’s sweet, but between her unreliability and seeming lack of interest for the job, we are unable to recommend her for other nanny roles.
