About Becky

I have over 35+ years experience working with children of all ages. I am currently the program manager for the Right At School program at Field Park elementary. I taught pre-school for several years for a daycare center, substitute taught for 2 years, taught second grade for 2. 5 years, was a supervisor/teacher for a before/after/ summer school program for 4 years, was a nanny for the same family for 9 years and I operated my own in home licensed childcare for 11 years. I am also a Mom of a 32-year-old daughter. I am CPR certified, I have had first aid classes, background checks and finger prints on file with DCFS. I enjoy children and see my experience as a learning time for both the child as well as myself. I believe each child has her/his own personality, abilities, and ways of learning and should be given an environment in which to express these personal traits. A good caregiver is one who learns the child's needs and creates the best way to care for that child.
