I spent 10 months caring for my mother who was on home hospice with brain tumors until her passing in 2014. I was responsible for her personal care including bathing, dressing, medications, meal preparation, and feeding. I also took care of the household laundry, dishes, and cleaning. It was that experience that lead me to Senior Caregiving as a profession. I have since worked with numerous families, 2015 to the present, in assisting them with care for their loved ones. I have experience with dementia care, and I am certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED. I enjoy helping people and I feel that it is very important for seniors to be treated with dignity and respect. Seniors who wish to remain in their own home, should be able to, as long as safety concerns are addressed. I love having a job where what I do can truly make a difference in the lives of others.

Barb as been great for both my mom and dad. I was looking for someone to help my dad while my mom recovered from cataract surgery in May and then again in June. My dad is disabled and my mom is his primary caregiver. She was not able to do any heavy lifting or bending over after her eye surgery. So she wouldn't have been able to help pull him up and do some of the other things she normally helps him with. We found Barb and she stayed with my parents from 8 am until 5 pm Mon through Fri after my mom's first surgery. She ended up helping both my mom and dad. She helped him with his care, made meals, reminded my mom to use her eye drops, took her to the doctor, etc. She was so great we ended up asking if she was available 2 days a week after the first recovery. She has even packed my dad's scooter in her car and taken them on day trips to get them out of the house. As a side note this was a very hard year for my family due to a sudden loss. Barb has been truly kind and compassionate.
