About Barbara

Empowering elementary students to reach their full potential is the core of my teaching practice. With two years of experience, I specialize in Math, English, and Art, focusing on building genuine confidence rather than rote memorization. I believe every student learns differently, so I prioritize open communication and regular feedback to tailor my methods to your child's specific needs. When concepts feel overwhelming, I break them into manageable steps and connect lessons to personal interests to keep engagement high. I hold CPR training and First Aid certifications. Whether we meet online, at the library, or in your home, I strive to create a collaborative environment where learning feels both rewarding and accessible. Seeing a student's confidence grow as they master new skills is the most fulfilling part of my work, and I truly look forward to supporting your child's unique journey.
