About Barbara

Being a mother was one of the most rewarding experiences. I've ever had. If I have the chance to help out another family, it would mean the world to me! If anybody who knows me was asked to pick a single word to describe me-"selfless"-would most certainly be it. In my 22 years of being a homemaker, I sacrificed my time, space, and freedom to raise two bright young men who have accomplished great things and are only just getting started. My first-born has recently been accepted into medical school at FIU in Miami and my youngest son is currently entering his second year in college at Florida Gulf Coast University. Being a mother has taught me more about myself than any other chapter of my life, but the main thing I have learned is that I have a passion for helping kids. Now that my sons are all grown up and my nest is empty, I plan on devoting my time in effort to assist other families who could use some extra help.
