I have been surrounded by animals my entire life. In addition to the two beagles I grew up with I have spent many hours over the years working with stray cats. For six months I spent an hour between 12am-3 a.m. on my porch working with a stray cat. My hands looked like they'd gone through a blender for the vast majority of that time. If that doesn't convince you of my patience and boundless love for animals I can't imagine what would. I have done some training with my own dogs and an aunt's dog. I mostly focus on what I call good manners. Walking on a leash without pulling, jumping up when greeting, taking food without accidental nibbling. That sort of thing. The only caveat being that I would rather not work with rodents if you have any. I have allergies to them, but I can work with mice, rats, and bunnies if I'm quick and careful. My allergy to guinea pigs is far less forgiving.
